So much has happened, and yes I know there are no pictures. The house is finally finished and we are in! We have boxes everywhere and not much on the walls, but we are home at last. We are all extremely sad to have lost David's mom to cancer. She passed away on April 30th. The time since then has been a whirlwind. She has always been such an important part of our lives. She rarely missed a ballgame, school event, or anything else that her grandkids were involved in. We are all sad that she never got to visit the new house. I so wanted the kids to have memories of her there. We planted a beautiful hydrangea from her funeral right in front of the house and we will think of her everytime we pull in the driveway. It's been a really tough time for everyone in our family. We've had 2 birthdays (David and Lyndsey) and Mother's Day without her and they were just not the same. The house just didn't seem important anymore, but especially for David and Pa it seemed to be a good distraction from everything else. We were so blessed to have 2 crews of men sent to help with the move. I think they were sent from heaven and we feel so thankful for all of their help.

Our first catastrophe.......we had a flood on Saturday and it was not caused from the massive rains that we have experienced. The master toilet malfunctioned causing the master bath to flood, ruining the carpet in David's closet and the guest room. My closet and the master bedroom had some damage, but I think only the pad has to be replaced there. Hopefully that will be taken care of any day now. Also, someone forgot to turn on the septic tank (I had no idea it had to be turned on). So once the tank filled up, it could not get to the field lines.....so it backed up in the bathtub and the shower. That has also been taken care of. The freshly laid sod has been dug up in the backyard to take care of the problem! We are praying that the hardwood is ok. I am not to thrilled at the thought of having my floors cut up.

We are supposed to have internet at home by midweek. Pictures are coming, I promise. Happy anniversary Gara & Steve! 25 years is something to be proud of. Hope to see you soon!
