More Snow

It's been several days since my last post! Not much has changed due to Round 2 of snow. We have been out of school all week. I think we are at the point where not much else can be done until the roof is finished and the brick is done. Our brick is supposed to ship on Monday the 15th and they are ready to roof as soon as weather permits. The cedar shake siding is finished on the front (above the front door) and on the back. It will be painted a chocolate brown. The vents have also been installed on the front and back.




Yesterday we made a trip to The Granite Shop in Byhalia, MS to shop for granite. Tanner's vanity is small so we thought that he might like to look through their scrap granite and pick out something exotic. He ended up choosing the same thing we had already picked. I'm still glad we went. It was really neat to see those huge slabs of granite. Here's a picture of the kids standing in front of the granite for their bathrooms. The photo on the right is my kitchen choice!



The hot water heaters are here. They are linked together so we should never run out of hot water. The kids both had to check out their showers. (Tanner complains about the shower at Mawmaw's house because it is too short....I think the new ones will be tall enough!)
