We arrived this afternoon to find the 1st floor completely wrapped. They started the roof decking at the back of the house. Not too much more to go. They were also starting to wrap the 2nd floor. The kids will be so excited to see walls in their rooms. We think shingles come next.
Since I am a teacher, I pray for snow days. However, since I became a home builder, I am torn! I would love to have a snow day, but I know that it would only slow down progress on the house. The weather man is predicting snow, sleet, ice, etc. for later in the week. If only we could get under roof before any bad weather arrives. I won't get too alarmed yet, since they are quite often wrong anyway. We'll just have to wait and see. I am constantly amazed at how fast things are moving. David keeps telling me that pretty soon things will slow down to a snail's pace. I know he's right, but I'm still excited!
Here you can see the 15X23 ft. covered porch. We plan to spend a lot of time there!
