David agreed that the Silver Creek brick (a.k.a. Oyster White) is fine. I went by the Apex office yesterday after school and took a peek at the bricks that he brought from the actual batch available. I couldn't believe it, but this time they actually resembled the sample board! Imagine that!!! Anyway, we chose the morter (Desert Buff) and the bricks were to be delivered today. They didn't make it, but are now scheduled to be here first thing in the morning with brickers ready to go. I wish I could take the day off and just go sit and watch, but I guess it will still be there after school.
Yesterday, Michelle (from Apex) gave us an approximate timeline. Not sure I really believe it, but she said that they could possibly finish up sheetrock by the end of next week. She said the norm is to expect closing 6 weeks after sheetrock. Ours could take a little longer because of our hardwood floors (since they are nail down and not prefinished). Regardless, that seems very fast to me. Oh my goodness, I cannot wait for central heat and air!!!!! My nightly routine consists of the following: take care of dinner, dishes, etc., snuggle up on the couch with a blanket because it is freezing, go to sleep. It seems that I have a real problem......once I get warm and toasty, I am out!
Oh, I almost forgot! We meet with Robin (the lighting lady) on Saturday to pick out fixtures. So many decisions......I think we're getting pretty good at making them! :)
