Progress

The metal roof is here! The guys were working hard installing it above the garage window. I can't wait for David to see it. The surface around the window will be stone. I think they plan to wait on the front porch roof until after the stone is up. (The whole center section above and below the porch will be covered in stone.)

The brickers ran out of brick today! You can see in the photo below, there's just a little left above the scaffolding on the right. We're in luck, there is still plenty of brick from the same batch. It is now on its way. The inside is almost unrecognizable. You can no longer see from one end of the house to the other. The upstairs is completely sheetrocked. When I left this afternoon, they were working on hanging sheetrock on the ceilings. Pa said that they didn't get started until sometime after 1:00. They are incredibly fast. According to the builders, they will finish the sheetrock tomorrow and begin mudding. Trim and paint come next, followed by cabinets and floors. We are really getting down to the details!
